Role
Credo is seeking a System Application Engineer to join our Application Engineering Team. In this role, you will be responsible for verifying and validating post-silicon high-speed SerDes Ethernet products. You will develop high-efficiency Python automation scripts, test and evaluate chip performance in various system-level environments, and implement and improve SerDes algorithms and performance.
This position requires close collaboration with Design, Production, and Firmware teams to ensure optimal chip performance under different operating conditions. You will analyze and debug high-speed systems using sampling oscilloscopes, BERT (Bit Error Rate Testers), and other specialized high-speed testing equipment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop automation test scripts and SerDes algorithms in Python and C.
- Perform system-level verification and validation under different testing environments.
- Analyze and debug high-speed systems across various data rates.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to generate stable firmware with SerDes algorithms.
- Develop SLT (System Level Test) scripts and work with the Production team to execute high-volume sample testing.
- Generate comprehensive reports based on test results and analysis.
- Support customers with internal chip and IP evaluations and product
Basic Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related major with 1+ years of experience.
- Proficiency in Python programming with ability to understand and develop code under available structures.
- Basic knowledge in DSP and Digital Design.
- Experience with handling and running high-speed test equipment.
- Team oriented with strong analytical skills, self-driven with desire to deliver beyond the scope of each job.
- Excellent multitasking abilities to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Strong Multi-tasking skills to handle different requests.
Preferred Skills
- Master Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related major with 3+ years of experience.
- Experiences with C and Firmware Development, familiar with Git.
- Knowledge in Ethernet top level including Retimer, Bitmux, MAC/PCS and MAC/Sec is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking, and ability to handle and adapt in new generations of technologies.
- Strong teamwork orientation and collaborative approach.
- Skills in developing automation test scripts for link-up, training and diagnostics is a plus.
Pay Range: $100,000 - $130,000
