Earth Week 2023

Print Friendly, PDF & Email
Earth Week 2023 is around the corner, and Credo is excited to observe Earth Day on April 22nd. It’s an opportunity for individuals and organizations worldwide to unite and show how much we care about our planet. Building on the energy efficiency of our products, Credo is taking further steps to be a more active partner to help address the world’s environmental challenges by implementing new internal programs to support our sustainability goals.

Credo Products

Credo's mission is to deliver high-speed solutions for the data infrastructure market, with the outstanding performance and industry-leading power efficiency required for today's data centers. With power consumption being a significant concern in data center deployments, the core interconnect technology needs to be best-in-class and energy efficient. Credo’s strong portfolio focuses on cost-effective, low-power solutions that provide our customers with cost saving advantages that also address energy efficiency.

E-waste and Sustainability

Credo is working with GreenMe Solutions, a local Bay Area e-waste recycling company with deep roots in the semiconductor industry, to help employees recycle their own personal e-waste that would otherwise end up in a landfill. Credo has a collection container in our Silicon Valley HQ making it simple for employees to recycle personal e-waste. E-waste from company assets will also be recycled with GreenMe.

When it comes to sustainability, waste in general is a top priority and we want to ensure the supplies we provide in our cafeteria and breakrooms are compostable and come from sustainable resources. We also work with our food vendors' to make food service as environmentally sustainable as possible to help reduce our overall environmental footprint.

Community Engagement

We’re stepping up our community engagement efforts and engaging with organizations that have a sustainability focus. On April 26th, Credo will be hosting a volunteer event with RAFT (Resource Area For Teaching) at our San Jose, Ca office to build engaging STEAM project kits for the local schools and communities. RAFT has developed a sustainable model by repurposing recycled materials, that might have otherwise ended up in a landfill, into projects that are tied to Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards. Credo is proud to work with an amazing organization that not only cares about our local bay area communities but also the environment.

Earth Week is an important event that helps raise awareness about environmental issues and encourages individuals and organizations to take action to protect our planet. Whether cleaning up trash or starting to recycle at home, every effort counts, and it's one step closer to protecting our planet for future generations. So, let's all do our part and make Earth Week a success!
