Responsibilities
- Responsible for global organizational tax areas such as corporate income tax, VAT/GST and sales and use taxes
- Assist, manage and coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provision requirements under ASC 740 and related financial statement disclosures
- Assist with the preparation of the U.S. federal and state income tax returns. Responsibilities include both U.S. domestic and international aspects of the preparation, such as book tax difference computations, all related foreign forms (e.g. 5471, 5472, 8858)
- Manage global transfer pricing booking, reporting and intercompany settlements
- Oversee the preparation and review of foreign statutory financials and foreign income tax returns
- Responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly and annual Sales and Use Tax filings, GST/VAT and other domestic and international tax filings
- Monitor changes in sales tax laws and regulations, ensuring ongoing compliance
- Manage tax audits
- Assist in International tax planning and M&A projects
- Support a variety of tax initiatives as assigned or requested
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Enhance internal control processes by adding additional layer of review
- Assist with various tax projects, for example, IRS audit project
- Additional resource to allow the tax director to focus on tax strategic planning
Qualifications
- In depth experience with corporate income tax compliance and ASC 740 accounting including hands on experience calculating quarterly and year-end tax provision for large multinational public companies
- Experience and proficiency preparing tax workpapers supporting federal and state income and non-income tax filings
- Motivated self-starter with a desire to learn, develop their knowledge base and take ownership
- Excellent organizational, technical, analytical, problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate cross-functionally at all levels in an efficient manner
- Experience working in a team under pressure to meet deadlines
Experience
- BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Tax and/or Finance. CPA preferred.
- 6+ years of public accounting and/or industry corporate tax experience including income tax and indirect tax
Pay Range: $140,000 - $165,000
