SEAMLESS SHIFTING BETWEEN PAM4 PORTS AND NRZ NICS

When you need to shift speeds and modulation, the integrated Gearbox function in HiWire SHIFT AEC make it easy.

The hot swappable cables are available in 400G (56G per lane) and 200G (28G per lane) speeds with PAM4 to PAM4 and PAM4 to NRZ signal modulation. Power and cost I reduced by up to 50% compared to Active Optical Cables (AOCs) and are about 2.5x more reliable.

The small diameter and light weight of the cables enables them to have a tight bend radius make rack installation and maintenance easy. Designers looking to redirect power to processing and storage can save data transport power by replacing AOCs, which average 50% more power, than CLOS AECs.  At 112G/lane, designers can also reduce DAC port power by 20% buy switching to AECs.

The SHIFT AECs are available with OSFP, QSFP-DD , QSFP56, and QSFP28 connectors, inside which are Credo low power, high performance gearboxes or retimers.
