The ‘Tamar’ is an 800Gbps Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) chip, supporting two transmit channels of 400G-FR4, and utilizing 100Gbps per each of its eight optical lanes. The ‘Tamar’ provides a superior link budget due to low modulation insertion loss.
