Carmel4
The ‘Carmel4’ is a 400Gbps Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) engine supporting four optical transmit lanes operating at 100Gbps per lane with PAM-4 modulation (53.125 Gbaud). It is based on Silicon Photonics (SiPho) technology and includes an integrated Continuous Wave (CW) laser, four low-loss Mach-Zehnder Modulators (MZMs), low speed phase shifters, and power monitors. The block diagram of the PIC engine is shown below.
The PIC dies are sold post burn-in, and are both electrically and optically tested.
About this product
- Small footprint silicon photonics transmit-side PIC
